The NEW home for Tolman Motorsport

Bikes have been something we have enjoyed from the very start, whether they be pedal or petrol-powered.

This project was borne out of a need to go racing. The client had previously taken her road bike on the track, then built a track bike, so this was the next logical step.

The bike was purchased from a renowned specialist in the field and Tolman’s task was to ensure its reliability and safety when used solely as a race or trackday machine.

We stripped the bike down, catalogued all the parts and devised a plan that corresponded with the owner’s budget before stripping and rebuilding the engine.

This included a revised cylinder head port with increased compression ratio, modified cam timing and a fully blueprinted engine that produced 128Bhp on the dyno and a custom ITG race filter.

A substantial lightening programme was carried out; titanium exhaust and tail pipes, a custom seat and battery tray were all installed. Dampers were from Nitron and Ohlins, and as with all our projects, ATEC provided custom fluid transfer pipes.

Finally, we organised for a custom livery to be designed and applied to the bike by our partners at Creative Sign & Design and, as a gift for our client, we created a 1/8 scale model of the bike in its final livery.
