Podium Result in Qatar Classic Endurance

When driver and long standing customer Gary Furst approached Tolman Motorsport with the idea to contest the Classic Endurance event supporting the “Qatar 1812km”, opening round of the 2024 WEC series, we were, to say the least, excited to be visiting a warm and sunny circuit during the late stages of a British winter!

With the car prepared and the spares and equipment packed, a road trip to Liege ensued from where it was all airfreighted to Qatar. Once unpacked and signed on at the impeccable Losail International Circuit, free practice went smoothly, perfect preparation prevents    . . . problems. 

Qualifying showed some promise and secured a starting place on the fifth row.

Once the race got under way there was some on track drama which brought the safety car out, allowing an opportune early pit stop followed by a commanding run into a P3 overall finish, which was also 2nd in class. A top job by all produced a big trophy and a very happy driver!
