Indeed it is the integration of modern techniques that defines any Tolman Engineering project. The key is in improving the integrity, drivability and functionality of the end product without diluting its character.
Latest Techniques
We always utilise the very latest methods to improve precision, repeatability and to acheive the best results. This includes computer aided design, scanning, 3D printing and many others.
Integration
The application of new technology is only ever used where it brings a a real advantage or enhancement and is always integrated with subtlety.
Computer aided design using the latest software packages allows both the creation of new parts and the recreation of parts no longer available. Paired with the use of 3D printing this allows us to make prototype parts and test the fitment before finalising the production item. Everything from an unobtainable trim clip to a new wheel design can be made reality.
Invisible
The latest generation of engine management systems bring so many advantages to older cars, functionality, efficiency and performance. We can build a modern ECU into the casing of the original system to bring up to date driveability while retaining an original equipment look.
Flawless
Where certain body panels are no longer available (such as this “sunroof” roof skin for a Mk 3 Ford Escort) we need to make them. High Tech processes such as scanning are used in order to achieve a factory finish and a quality result.
Adaptable
Our digital dashboard conversions are designed in house to achieve the perfect aesthetic for the car in question. Optional functionality could include alternative screens for different modes, alarms for various parameters, embedded logos and much more.
