Ginetta GT5 Challenge team Tolman Motorsport has announced their return to the British GT supporting series with their first two drivers for 2014 being announced. The two drivers are championship returnee David Pattison and series newcomer Alex Preston.
Making his car racing debut in 2013 and a podium result in his second ever race, Pattison enjoyed a top five championship finish in his maiden season, and will look to be closer to the front in 2014, with a view to finish inside the top three.
Joining Pattison at Tolman Motorsport is new racer Alex Preston, a former competitor in the Mazda MX5 Mk1 Championship looking to make the step up into the Ginetta GT5 Challenge after being keen to progress onto the British GT package for a while.
The team will once again run a fleet of Ginetta G20’s in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, having successfully backed Mark De Spong to a top three championship position in 2013. Tolman Motorsport Team Principal Chris Tolman concluded;“I am very pleased to have signed Alex for 2014 onwards. He has a clear plan for his racing career and that included Tolman and Ginetta!
